Images of the contamination in the 70s

Environment Protection Agency (EPA) was created in the year 1970 by the president Richard Nixon to assemble in only one it obtains the aptitude to legislate the different pollutants who could affect the population. One of his first actions, to be able to justify his creation before the citizenship, was the project Documerica. This project was claiming retratrar the environmental reality of the USA and for this work they sent 100 photographers along the whole country. Now all these papers have been published in Flikr Commons, where the whole world has access to those photo that they paint the portrait of the america of the 70s.
